Cebi Acts Brave: 25 Minutes of Focus? Bring It On!

Tasks piling up and you can’t bring yourself to start? Cebi tries the Pomodoro technique, with a sticker reward after every round.

Hi, it’s Cebi, the bravest tadpole in the pond! Well… when I see a pile of tasks, my courage sometimes shrinks a little. Luckily, I found a secret move: the Pomodoro technique. 🍅

The move is simple

  1. Pick one task. Just one, not everything at once.
  2. Set a 25-minute timer, then work on that task until it rings. Put your phone away for now!
  3. Take a 5-minute break. Stand up, have a drink, look at something far away.
  4. After 4 rounds, take a long break of 15–30 minutes.

Pomodoro means tomato in Italian. Its creator, Francesco Cirillo, used a tomato-shaped kitchen timer. Cute, right?

Why does it work?

  • 25 minutes doesn’t feel scary. Saying “just 25 minutes” is much easier than “work until it’s done”.
  • Scheduled breaks keep your brain fresh, so you don’t run out of energy halfway.
  • You learn how many rounds a task really takes, and your estimates get sharper.

Cebi’s extra twist: sticker rewards

Every time you finish a round, place one sticker in your digital planner or journal. Four stickers in a row means it’s time for a long break! Watching the row of stickers grow is super motivating. If you’d like to track your daily habits too, try Make a Cute Habit Tracker in 10 Minutes.

Being brave doesn’t mean not being scared. Being brave means just starting, for 25 minutes. Come on, I’ll keep you company! 💚
